sometimes you come across a love that is tangible, infectious-one that does not even dampen in the rain. alex + elizabeth have it + i am happy to say i was able to bask in it's glow for a little while. Elizabeth + Alex are adventurers’ that started their path to marriage whist on a 2 month sailing trip on Elizabeth’s parents’ boat. Alex recounted the story to me as being very difficult to find the privacy and timing to propose on a sail boat that housed 4 other couples. Once the ‘yes’ was out of the way the planning began. With the help of Stephanie from Cape Cod Celebrations they created a unique affair. The home in the cape that they chose to use as their venue is the home of the family that Alex nannied for over many years. Helping to rear 3 of their children and personally going to the home to garden prior to the wedding to ready it really showed in their connection and love of the place. Alex’s mother also handmade her pant suit, which fit her impeccably. They were wed by both of their fathers which made for a very special and emotional ceremony. The amount of flowers provided by Flowers by Semia were absolutely stupendous and even made the gray rainy skies dazzle. The custom arbor that they worked on all summer was highlighted by the extra beautiful blooms. Their bridal party chose unique dresses in coordinating colors which really flowed beautifully together. Elizabeth + Alex’s love was palpable and made a gloomy July day in the Cape vibrant! this is one of those weddings that i would like to have on repeat. here is their photo story.
