[ the many faces of hendrix ] portrait. colt state park. bristol. ri.

if you know me you know that i am a dog lover. this summer my shiba inu, rocco inspired me to do more pet portraits. hendrix was just one of my furry participants + i have to say looking at his sweet expressive face has made me want to only photograph dogs, well, not really, but i enjoyed the change of pace with these summer dog portraits. if you are interested in a pet portrait session let me know!

[ the maguire family ] portrait. rocky point state park. warwick. ri.

just a few frames from sunday's family portrait session with the maguire family. it is always such an honor to be selected to capture these images for a family but it is even more so when you are hired by a photographer whom you love + admire. you may recognize lisa of lisa frechette photography. she actually got me my start in the wedding photography industry many moons ago + i am thrilled + honored to be trusted with capturing her awesome family! more to come soon...

[ mandy ] portrait. warren. ri.

so i admitted to my husband last night that i like barry manilow + i guess now to you as well. why am i telling you this? well, because of the title post [mandy-duh] + because i am open to being a little vulnerable. this shoot was done at the end of my winter hibernation. i hadn't picked up my camera in months + i was in some serious need of getting out of my website designing funk + actually creating something. so an opportunity arose to shoot in a quirky old school. mandy, a dear + willing friend agreed to be the life in these school still-life series. i admit i didn't really have a focus. i just wanted to shoot. to play with light + shadows. but i feel like without a point of view i may have failed but i blame being just newly out of hibernation.

so here is our little adventure in an old school.

[thank you mandy for playing along!]
