is it okay to be grateful for the pandemic…eeck…like not really but kinda because it made these 2 dreamboats pivot hard into having not 1 but 2 beautiful glorious events to celebrate their '“I do’s”. the first celebration took place at the Providence Art Club with an intimate family ceremony + dinner which you can ooh + ahh at here. the second celebration was at my most favorite Providence RI wedding venue: THE BOTANICAL CENTER at Roger Williams Park. why do I love this venue so much? well, plants duh but also it is such a beautiful backdrop no matter what the weather may bring. it also helps to have the beautiful florals by moonrose to really bring it all together.
honestly, both of these events made me wish that I documented with video as well. the music…holy crap…the music. this bride not only blew my mind away with her rendition of “all that jazz” accompanied by new providence big band, she also rocked out the remainder of the reception singing with the Kleyla Family Band. I still get chills just thinking about it.
it was such a unique celebration of love + I consider myself lucky to have been able to witness it.
if you are having an intimate backyard wedding, sign me up. if you are writing your own vows, again sign me up. if you are breaking with tradition + wearing an unconventional wedding dress, hell yes! sign me up. if you are getting married the day before a huge hurricane is about to hit, well yeah sure sign me up. if you are having a tented outside dinner prepared by an amazing chef such as James from Providence RI’s north + big king + your mom will insist on packing me up some food to go, f* yes! sign me up. basically, just sign me up…
but in all seriousness, I have fallen in love with smaller intimate weddings where the couples are unapologetically THEM! so just a bit of advice if you are planning your wedding, either big or small, YOU DO YOU, it will make all the difference in the feel + look of your day. also, I probably shouldn’t be telling you this but this was just 2 hours of photography coverage, yes you read that right, 2 hours.
seriously, sign me up for any wedding that has snooker’s alumni present. I worked there while going through college + have met some of my favorite people there. so when Amy reached out saying she is a snooker’s alumni I was wholeheartedly in. Kenny + Amy had an amazing warm summer day at their south county RI wedding in August. Meadow Brook Inn’s grounds were the perfect backdrop for their boho-chic style. The ceremony was full of laughter + the most adorable ring bearer + flower girl you will ever see.
