Kate + Michael celebrated their marriage on an exceptionally windy day on cape cod. their weekend celebration took place at a unique venue in Truro called Kalmar Village. The village has a very special feel to it. white sun-washed beach cottages that house guests and the wedding party flank the grassy courtyard where the tented reception took place. it was a wonderful way of celebrating, from the rehearsal welcome dinner which included amazing tacos + a nighttime beach viewing of Jaws [popcorn included] to the intimate beach ceremony including their sunglassed son Mac + handwritten vows, it was a perfect way to acknowledge their union which may have already taken place during 2020. thanks to covid this celebration was delayed but made all the more wonderful by the inclusion of their son, Mac. it went off without a hitch with the wonderful planning by Stephanie at cape cod celebrations. Finishing the night with twilight blue skies + an ice cream truck, this was a cape cod wedding dream come true!
these high school sweethearts planned a beautiful great gatsby themed wedding at roger williams park casino. with a well-cushioned timeline, we had tons of time to take advantage of all that roger williams park has to offer. we started out with their first look at the botanical center then made our way through the park with family formals and bridal party photos at the temple of music. the ceremony was held at the bandstand behind the casino. it turned out to be an unseasonably warm October day which was warmed even more by the love of their wonderful family + closest friends.
is it okay to be grateful for the pandemic…eeck…like not really but kinda because it made these 2 dreamboats pivot hard into having not 1 but 2 beautiful glorious events to celebrate their '“I do’s”. the first celebration took place at the Providence Art Club with an intimate family ceremony + dinner which you can ooh + ahh at here. the second celebration was at my most favorite Providence RI wedding venue: THE BOTANICAL CENTER at Roger Williams Park. why do I love this venue so much? well, plants duh but also it is such a beautiful backdrop no matter what the weather may bring. it also helps to have the beautiful florals by moonrose to really bring it all together.
honestly, both of these events made me wish that I documented with video as well. the music…holy crap…the music. this bride not only blew my mind away with her rendition of “all that jazz” accompanied by new providence big band, she also rocked out the remainder of the reception singing with the Kleyla Family Band. I still get chills just thinking about it.
it was such a unique celebration of love + I consider myself lucky to have been able to witness it.
