Janet was AMAZING! We knew we wanted quality photographs, but were also coping with how expensive a wedding was turning out to be. Janet's rates were competitive, and meeting her for our "engagement" shoot sealed the deal. We weren't at all used to posing, and she made it painless and fun. She's lovely, and doesn't take herself too seriously. She made us comfortable, which showed in our final shots. She was somehow everywhere (with her second shooter) on our wedding day, but was never obtrusive. For those intimate getting ready shots, she somehow was in the room, without making her presence felt. She moved us quickly through our formal portraits so we could get back to our guests. Her candid shots were amazing, and she was super quick about turning her work around. We got teasers almost right away, and all 1,200+ beautiful shots very quickly. She helped us on an album with her keen eye for design. Janet's eye for detail extends beyond the lens; the little add-ons she included - our digital shots were delivered in a wooden box, with about 25 postcard sized pictures she had printed for us - were one of the many joys of working with Janet.

Janet beautifully captured our wedding day. We were nervous about being photographed throughout our wedding, but Janet quickly helped us feel at ease. She was responsive to our requests, needs, and concerns and was easy and fun to work with. When we received our photos, we were beyond thrilled. The images are truly stunning. Janet has been apart of the most important times and memories in our lives. She has photographed our engagement in Boston, our wedding at Mount Hope Farm in Bristol, RI and has done family portraits with our son from his birth on in our home. Janet was absolutely everything you'd want in a wedding photographer: funny, flattering, fun, and full of energy!  She & her second shooter were just amazing - at the times you wanted to notice them & be with them they were there, and other times we completely forgot about them & they caught some incredible candid shots.  Everything about the setup and attention was amazing - she was organized, well-prepared, and even helped calm me down when my makeup was running late (and therefore the first look shots!).  My husband, overall a bit camera shy, was also incredibly comfortable working with her and felt right at home - which I think is also a testament to Janet's down-to-earth style & generally relaxed way about her.

I was so impressed by Janet's professionalism & overall way of managing what is a very important day with a lot of personalities and groups of people.  Her photos are just unforgettable & I cannot tell you the number of times I go back through them just to see these amazing moments.  I could not recommend her more highly!

I knew when I chose Janet to photograph my wedding that I would get beautiful photos, but I got so much more! Janet advised me with different aspects of planning and scheduling, and was totally available any time I had an idea or a question about how things would go. She also gave me space and let me call the shots when I had a clear idea of what I wanted. She even helped us to realize a vague and harebrained plan for my sunrise trash-the-dress, for which she was not only the photographer but really the creative director.
